Saw a squirrel today with a head so big, it could barley cross the street. It could barley crawl through the grass. It could barely climb the tree and climb in its nest. I thought something was wrong with it... I began to question what it what I was putting on my yard to kill weeds.
All was alright... the squirrel just had a mouth jam packed with nuts!
[back]Teenage Mutant Ninja Dandelion... que singing of 90's TMNT theme song (the new theme song just isn't as good.)
So for the past few weeks I have been trying desperately to rid my lawn of the abundance of weeds. It seem so futile... at times I wish grass was the weed, and dandelions, creeping charlie, chick weed, clover, crab grass, and etc... were the norm. I suppose if that were the case I would be writing about TMNGrass instead.
Ok, back on topic... I have been putting weed killer on my yard (yeah-yeah I know brutally effecting the environment). About three days latter, the dandelions started to shrivel and curl... sort of nasty and exciting all at the same time! Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a monstrosity that needs to be seen to be believed. One particular dandelion... decided to grow this chunky gnarly trunk... and topped itself with THREE neon yellow flowers that spoke Muted-Swahili!!! Really!
Ok... so it was just regular dandelion yellow, and I prefer to believe that all flowers speak Muted-Swahili, but it was a really thick stem, and there were three flowers at the top of it... but that just isn't as interesting is it.
(Oh... if you want, you can stop singing the theme song now.)
