A vacation is only a vacation when ya get to play with fire. Our Nations birth day is always a great excuse, and play with fire we did! Our small display was however dwarfed by the massive mortars going off all up and down the like. Us: "Screeeeeecchhhh - - pop!" Them: "Woooooooosshhhhhhthunnnnnnnddddderrrrrrrr - - (insert white blinding light and wind gusts of hurricane stature) kabbbbbbbooooooommmmmmmmm echo echo echo..."
I did manage to pickup a propane regulator that will allow me to pump out about 1.5 million BTUs per hour into my little foundry! (Lets see the people on the lake do that!!!) This regulator also came with a 10' hose... a setup which is a start in the right direction towards casting iron and steel. Next step... build a burner. Next step... find a way to burn waste oil, because 20 lbs of propane per hour is going to get expensive!
